Herewith the italian band TREES offers us their second album and, like the first one in 1997, it brings us very fine 80s inspired Guitar-Wave, somewhere between And Also The Trees, Danse Society, Sad Lovers And Giants and Slowdive. The release info calls it "Ethereal Wave", which describes the music very good. The songs are mostly calm with nice melodies, sometimes the production could have been a bit more powerful. Really good release, but I fear, that this CD will not be a big success in our times of Gothic-Metal and Power-Electronics. Anyway, if you like the good old 80s Wave, try this CD. (A.P.)
