PIXIES have been one of the most innovative and successful Indie-Bands of the late 80s and early 90s, their rough and powerful guitar sound influenced millions of other bands. After the compilation "Death To The Pixies" (try to get the limited 10" box, it´s a real masterpiece!), 4AD released this CD with Radio-Sessions and, be sure, every PIXIES fan should call it his own. In 35 minutes we get 15 typical PIXIES tracks from "Dead" and "There Goes My Gun" to "Wave Of Mutilation", "Levitate Me" and "Monkey Gone To Heaven". Also my personal favourite "Caribou" is included. Some versions are very different to these on the LPs and 12"s, so "At The BBC" is useful to increase your PIXIES collection. (A.P.)
