BACK AGAIN: GOTHIC / WAVE / DARK-WAVE

HUMAN DRAMA . s.t. (Mini CD 1994)

Johnny Indovina´s band HUMAN DRAMA was around the scene from the mid 80s on and released a couple of wonderful albums and singles. The 1994 self titled Mini-Album was a prelude to the legendary “Songs Of Betrayal” album and contains 8 wonderful songs in about 30 minutes. It is some kind of Folk-Wave with a lot of violins and acoustic guitars and a very powerful production. I cannot say why, but the band is loved by many Gothics, even if it isn´t really Gothic music, but very emotional. Often it has a little bit of 70s Progressive-Rock, but in a vein, that I could listen to. This is a great and collectible band, so watch out for their releases. There is also a “Best of...” Compilation on Triple X Records, which is a good start, if you don´t know the band by now. (A.P.)
