It is simply a wonder, where Davide of Energeia always finds such fine bands like CHIRON. They are from Australia, composed of formerly Ikon-members, as far, as I understand it. Even if the cover of this CD reminds on various Metal-bands and the label info describes the band as Dark Wave, it is something other. Let me describe it as 80s New Wave in the vein of the legendary Sad Lovers And Giants. We also find some Cure-ish guitars and Joy Division-like vocals. Really a fine work. Well there is nothing more to say, than that this CD is a wonderful Guitar-Wave release in the tradition of the above mentioned bands, you can also take The Church or The Sound as comparisons, but CHIRON are not a copy, they definetly found their own style. Not to forget, that the band also includes a couple of Electro-elements, but I prefer the Guitar-tunes. (A.P.)
