STONE BREATH – The Long Lost Friend: A Patchwork (CD 2004)

(Big Blue Records/Perun www.terra.pl/perun )

The title of this CD says it all: „...A Patchwork“...it is some kind of compilation of unreleased material, live stuff, compilation tracks, cover versions and alternative versions, so it is more than worthy for any fan of STONE BREATH and for neo-Folk fans in general.

The CD was released by Polands Perun Records, the best label for such music in Poland and Tomek, who runs the label, proved his good taste again.

STONE BREATH play a very own mixture of Folk, Celtic music and some Medieval influences, very original and not modernized. Most tracks have a certain melancholic mood, someone called it „ghostly forest Folk“, which is a nearly perfect description, I think. Music for foggy autumn evenings...really inspiring. (A.P.)
